Privacy Statement
Anchr respects and protects your privacy.
This privacy statement explains which personal data Anchr collects from you and how and why we use and protect this data.
Applicability
This policy applies to AXI NV, Anchr BV and Ground Lion NV, hereinafter referred to as “Anchr.” Services offered under the name Qobee are part of AXI NV and are also covered by this policy. AXI NV is the parent company and is identified as the data controller responsible for the processing of your personal data.
This privacy statement applies to data processing via the Anchr websites, services, apps and software, and, in general, to all communication Anchr maintains with you. To serve you and your organization optimally, Anchr needs to retain and use contact details and other information about you. We process your personal data in accordance with the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), which has been in effect since May 25, 2018.
Personal Data We Collect and Use
Anchr collects and uses personal data only for specific, legitimate reasons. We always limit ourselves to what is strictly necessary.
Within the context of our contractual relationships, we naturally retain contact information (name, position, address, postal code, city, email address and phone number) to communicate with you about similar products or services.
If Anchr employees receive your business card, your contact details are stored in our CRM system so that Anchr can maintain contact with you.
Through the form on our websites, direct or telephone conversations, or event registrations, you have the opportunity to provide your contact information (name, position, address, postal code, city, email address and phone number) and your interests. With your consent, we will use this information to send you information about our products and services. Every email includes the option to unsubscribe.
At trade shows/events, Anchr may take photos for promotional and/or marketing purposes, including use on LinkedIn or other social media. In such cases, Anchr will make reasonable efforts to obtain your prior consent before capturing or using the photo. If you object to the use of a photo of you, you may notify Anchr, and Anchr will promptly remove the relevant photo.
In addition, we may use your data to invite you to participate in voluntary customer or market research. Sometimes other companies carry out this research on our behalf. In such cases, we may share your email address or phone number with those companies, who must also comply with this privacy policy.
Cookies
Anchr websites use cookies. We use necessary cookies, preference cookies, statistical cookies and marketing cookies.
Necessary cookies are required for the Anchr websites to function properly. By law, we may store necessary cookies on your device without consent.
For all other types of cookies, we need your permission.
Preference cookies allow us to optimize your user experience. With your explicit consent, they collect information about your preferences, such as language or region. These cookies do not infringe on your privacy rights.
Statistical cookies are used for analysis and research. With your explicit consent, statistical cookies anonymously track how the Anchr websites are used. This data does not infringe on your privacy rights.
Marketing cookies are used to track your visits across different Anchr websites. Marketing cookies generate data in the CRM software about how you use the Anchr websites. They enhance interaction with social media platforms such as LinkedIn and Facebook and enable the display of relevant advertisements.
Through the CookieBot banner on the Anchr websites, you can change your cookie preferences. You can also block cookies in your browser settings, but some functionality may no longer be available. If you want to know more about cookies and how to remove or block them, please consult the ‘Help’ section of your browser.
Applicants
Applicants are informed from the beginning of the process that their CV may be kept in the recruitment reserve for up to 3 years in Belgium and up to 4 months in the Netherlands, to contact them for similar job opportunities. After this period, the data will be permanently deleted.
CCTV and Premises Security
To help protect our property, CCTV cameras are installed around and inside our buildings. Recordings are kept for up to 4 weeks, unless an incident has occurred — in which case they may be retained longer until the matter is resolved.
Server‑Side Tag Management
Anchr uses server‑side tag management via Stape to manage visitor data securely and efficiently. This means data processing happens on our own server environment instead of in the user’s browser. The benefits are:
Secure data handling: Data is protected against unauthorized access and offers a higher level of security.
Privacy protection: Only strictly necessary and relevant data is processed in compliance with applicable privacy laws (including GDPR).
Improved efficiency: The amount of data shared with third parties is minimized, giving us more control over data traffic.
All data processed through server‑side tag management is used solely for analytical and functional purposes, such as improving our services and optimizing the user experience. We do not share personal data with external parties without your explicit consent.
How We Protect Your Data
We place great importance on information security and quality control processes, as demonstrated by our NEN‑EN‑ISO/IEC 27001:2017 certification and ISAE 3402 type II report.
All Anchr employees sign a confidentiality agreement obligating them to treat any information they access in the course of their work as strictly confidential. They follow clear guidelines, receive training, and are regularly made aware of their responsibilities.
Anchr maintains a strong, secure IT infrastructure, primarily hosted in external Tier 3 data centers within the European Economic Area (EEA).
Personal data is not processed for our own purposes or those of third parties and is not transferred outside the EEA unless the destination country provides adequate protection.
When external parties, partners or subcontractors are involved, we enter into data processing agreements that define their confidentiality and security obligations. If your data is entrusted to them, they receive clear instructions and process data only for the agreed purposes.
Retention Periods
Your data is handled carefully and kept up‑to‑date. We retain your personal data as long as necessary to meet contractual and/or legal obligations, after which all remaining personal data is deleted or anonymized in accordance with our agreements.
As a general rule:
Invoices and contact details are retained for 7 years for tax and legal compliance.
Photos are stored for a maximum of 1 year.
CCTV footage is retained for up to 4 weeks, unless an incident occurred.
Your Rights as a Data Subject
You have the right to request access to the data we collect about you, and to correct or supplement that data.
Under certain conditions, you may also ask for your data to be erased or restricted from further processing (e.g., for legal claims).
If you believe Anchr is not processing your personal data lawfully or is violating the law, you can file a complaint with the Data Protection Authority in Belgium or the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens in the Netherlands.
If we process your data based on consent, you also have the right to request data portability to another controller.
